Pepper soup / Attiéké
Description
Pepper Soup / Attiéké is a delicious combination of spicy soup and attieké, a fermented cassava semolina. The soup, seasoned with pepper and spices, is often accompanied by attieké for a complete and tasty meal. This comforting dish is loved for its rich taste and unique texture.
Ingredients
- Fresh fish
- 2 onions
- 3 tomatoes
- Fresh chillies (quantity to suit you)
- Garlic
- Water
- Red oil
- Salt
- Pepper
- Dry fish powder
- Dried shrimp powder
- Baoulé's eggplant
Preparation
1. Place the onions, tomatoes, chillies, garlic and water in a saucepan and leave to cook.
2. Once your vegetables are cooked, blend them and add the mixture to the saucepan
3. Season the soup with salt and pepper
4. Add your properly washed and pre-cut fish
5. Add the aubergines and leave to cook
6. Halfway through cooking, add the shrimp powder, dried fish powder and red oil.
7. Remove from the heat once the fish and aubergines are cooked.
